IN TUNE WITH TRAVIS SMITH THE WESTIN HOTEL

It was around May 2013 that IEC client, Cassandra (Cassy) Price, Business and Events Manager from the International Egg Commission, contacted Travis Smith, Venue Technical Manager from INHOUSE Venue Technical Management (IVTM) with regard to an upcoming international event to be held at the WESTIN HOTEL in September 2013. At that early stage, the event was planned as a very basic conference with a generic equipment requirement - a 3 day conference to be held over a 4 day period. As the WESTIN HOTEL's onsite supplier, IVTM was on brought on board for the conference from the outset.

On 28 June 2013, the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) celebrated a decade of success. To commemorate this significant milestone, the centre hosted several events, which included a stakeholder event, a public concert, an Open Day and a series of social legacy projects.

As the appointed preferred supplier to the CTICC, INHOUSE Venue Technical Management - backed by the Gearhouse Group - partnered with the centre in terms of providing cutting edge technology solutions for the stakeholder, public and Open Day events.

For the Open Day, IVTM provided several technical "room set ups" to give visitors an experience of what is involved in a typical conference set up and what sort of look and feel to expect when booking an event at the CTICC.

INHOUSE VTM was privileged to be chosen by Tsogo Sun to supply the technical solution for a Tsogo Sun Strategy Plan meeting that was held at the Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town in October 2013.

The IVTM team were very specific in translating the requirements of this high profile brand to deliver a wireless, clean flow on this event and there was not a cable run in sight by the time the event began.

Seamless AV delivery for The Primedia Crime line gala dinner.

The Maslow Hotel hosted the Primedia Crime Line Tip-Off Service's 6th Anniversary Gala Dinner. The event celebrated the success of the Crime Line Tip-off initiative and the significant contribution it has made in our society.

The event was attended by some of South Africa's finest patriots with the likes of performer PJ Powers; Head of Crime Line Initiative Yusuf Abramjee; National police commissioner, General Riah Phiyega; Correctional Services' National Commissioner Tom Moyane; MEC for community safety in Gauteng Faith Mazibuko; Gauteng's Provincial Police Commissioner and the Deputy Police Commissioner for the Western Cape as well as other members of the South African Police Service (SAPS). Chairman of the Gauteng Community Policing Board Andy Mashaile; Tshwane Metro Police Chief Daniel Manganye; CEO of Sanparks Dr David Mabunda and the CEO of Primedia Terry Volkwyn, amongst others.
